Return To The Lodge

About This Work:

A beaded lodge rests in the centre of this work, inviting us to return to our own ways of praying and knowing. Tattooed double curves tell the story of birth, living and death as a natural cycle we all have a role in.

This work was created in collaboration with my sister, Chantal Kingsbury (Beaulieu) aka @little.bird.tattoos. Chantal tattooed the double curve motifs onto leather to make up the background of this work and I beaded the lodge on top. 

Dimensions and Materials:

This work is made with tattooed leather, a mix of vintage, antique and contemporary glass seed beads, and 24k gold beads. The work itself measures 5x7, and the frame measures 16.5 x 14.5 inches.
